3rd annual "Black Sea Music Fest" in Odessa - June 17-24

The third annual “Black Sea Music Fest” - of which Hobart is founder and artistic director - opens with a semi-staged performance of Tchaikovsky's final opera "Iolanta" in Philharmonic Hall on June 17. The concert in the Odessa Opera House on June 21 will include the Odessa premiere of Skoryk's brand new 2nd cello concerto and music by Debussy, Ravel and Gershwin - and on June 24, cellist Steven Isserlis will perform Tchaikovsky's "Rococo" Variations and Saint-Saens cello concerto. The remainder of the program will be Ravel's "La Valse" and "Daphnis and Chloe" 2nd suite with the choir of the Odessa Conservatory.
